New BMW 7 Series: Major Changes
What changes are coming to the BMW 7 Series? Hollywood drivers can expect all the luxury and performance they’ve known from The Ultimate Driving Machine, but with some major new perks:
- For one, the BMW 7 Series is undergoing engineering to accommodate new alternative-fuel platforms. It is expected that most to all new BMW 7 Series models for model year 2023 will have at least a mild-hybrid system, with further options for plug-in hybrid and full electric powertrains as well.
- The BMW 7 Series is also expected to come with the option for Level 3 autonomous driving. What this means is that as you drive on select highways, you’ll be able to take your hands off the wheel and let the car steer for you on the open road. However, with this in mind, you will still need to keep full attention on the road ahead of you.
- It is likely that the V12 BMW is on its way out, in favor of a V8 with the mild-hybrid system. If you’re looking for a BMW with a 12-cylinder engine, you’ll want to pick a 2022 model.
