The 2024 BMW X2 has undergone a significant transformation, making it larger and more distinctive than its predecessor. The vehicle is now 7.6 inches longer, with a more pronounced coupe silhouette, wider tracks, and larger wheels, giving it a powerful and muscular stance. The result is a car that embodies the classic BMW Sports Activity Coupe features, including a vertical front end and a roofline that flows gracefully into the rear, creating a dynamic and appealing profile.

The new BMW X2 boasts a unique exterior design, setting it apart from its sibling, the X1. Model-specific headlights, a redesigned rear light, and an optional illuminated BMW kidney grille underline its exclusivity. The X2 M35i xDrive performance model stands out with its M Sport package and the availability of 21-inch light-alloy wheels, a first for a compact BMW model.

The front-end design of the new X2 is both sporty and visually exciting. The BMW kidney grille has been redesigned to form an almost hexagonal contour and is optionally illuminated, making a bold statement day or night. The model-specific air inlet grille with a sporty honeycomb structure is finished in black high gloss, emphasizing the X2’s dynamic character.

A Modern and Tech-Forward Interior

The interior of the new X2 is spacious and modern, with seating for five adults. Passengers will enjoy increased shoulder and elbow room, and rear-seat passengers benefit from an extra inch of kneeroom. The rear seats can be folded in a 40:20:40 split, offering versatility in cargo space. With all seats in use, the X2 provides 25.3 cubic feet of storage, expanding to 51.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

The modern and premium ambience is palpable. The centerpiece is the new BMW iDrive with QuickSelect, part of the BMW Operating System 9. This reimagined control system focuses on touch and voice control, with a BMW Curved Display and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, reducing the number of physical buttons and switches. The driver-centered cockpit features a slender instrument panel with the frameless BMW Curved Display, providing an elegant and modern touch.

Powerful Performance

Two powerful engines make their debut in the X2. The X2 xDrive28i features a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine with 241 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, propelling it from 0-60 mph in just 6.2 seconds. The top-tier X2 M35i xDrive boasts a potent 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 312 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds.

An updated chassis delivers impressive agility and cornering dynamics. It features a body construction that is lighter but more rigid, a longer wheelbase, wider tracks, and high-quality chassis components. This translates into balanced and precise handling for a pleasurable driving experience.

The 2024 BMW X2 comes equipped with the near-actuator wheel slip limitation system, unique in its segment, ensuring optimal traction even on slippery roads and improving handling stability. It also offers a built-in mechanical limited-slip differential, which helps maximize traction and cornering dynamics.

The X2 xDrive28i includes a standard braking system, while the X2 M35i xDrive comes with M Sport brakes. An optional M Compound brake system offers superb braking performance, excellent feel, and lower weight compared to conventional systems. It also includes advanced weight-saving features and painted grey brake calipers.

A Tailored Experience

With various packages available, you can customize your 2024 BMW X2 to your liking. The M Sport package adds aerodynamically optimized exterior details, 19-inch M light-alloy wheels, sport seats, an Alcantara-trimmed instrument panel, and an M leather steering wheel with shift paddles. For even more customization, the M Sport Professional Package offers additional enhancements.
