The BMW 530i and 530i xDrive are the base BMW 5 Series configurations. All that differs between the two is that the plain 530i doesn’t have the AWD platform that the xDrive has. Check out the features here:
If you’re looking to get the 540i or 540i xDrive, all that differs from the 530i is that the 540i has a more powerful engine. More specifically, it’s a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 335 hp. There’s also some interior upgrades, but those are relatively minor compared to the engine.
The 530e and 530e xDrive are the plug-in hybrid 5 Series. They’ve got a four-cylinder engine plus an electric motor. There’s also exclusive PHEV instrumentation and an audio warning because this vehicle is almost silent when running on electricity!
