If towing capacity is a major selling point for you, it should interest you to know that the BMW X5 maximum towing capacity is more than 2,000 pounds higher than the Volvo XC90 max towing capacity, with the X5 towing up to 7,200 pounds and the XC90 towing up to 5,000 pounds. And when you compare their horsepower, the BMW X5 has a maximum horsepower of 523 hp in its top trim X5 M50i. The XC90 Recharge delivers a laudable 455 hp, but it doesn’t compare to the max power of the BMW X5.
Both the BMW X5 and Volvo XC90 provide premium luxury, offering standard features like wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM connectivity, a 12.3” digital driver display, and power-adjustable seats.
