The BMW X5 and Volvo XC90 are two of the most popular luxury midsize SUVs on the Los Angeles-area streets, but which fares better in a Volvo vs. BMW comparison? We’ve found the X5 to be more powerful and provide more standard and optional exclusive features than the XC90 while remaining close in price points. Let’s take a more detailed look at both of these SUVs and show you why Pacific BMW chooses the X5 as the ultimate choice. If you agree with our assessment, contact us to schedule an appointment to see the X5 in person!
If towing capacity is a major selling point for you, it should interest you to know that the BMW X5 maximum towing capacity is more than 2,000 pounds higher than the Volvo XC90 max towing capacity, with the X5 towing up to 7,200 pounds and the XC90 towing up to 5,000 pounds. And when you compare their horsepower, the BMW X5 has a maximum horsepower of 523 hp in its top trim X5 M50i. The XC90 Recharge delivers a laudable 455 hp, but it doesn’t compare to the max power of the BMW X5.
Both the BMW X5 and Volvo XC90 provide premium luxury, offering standard features like wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM connectivity, a 12.3” digital driver display, and power-adjustable seats. However, the BMW X5 offers a standard 12.3” touchscreen infotainment system display whereas the XC90 offers an 8.0” display. Also, the X5 offers standard heated seats, but you have to upgrade to get the available heated seats in the XC90.
If you feel like the X5 is the best choice to upgrade your Los Angeles area travels, you can begin the buying process now. Apply for financing online, and get approved in minutes!
