2019 BMW M2 Competition Features and Release Date

BMW recently unveiled the all-new 2019 BMW M2 Competition, which is replacing the outgoing BMW M2 Coupe. It’s the entry-point vehicle for the high-performance BMW M models, delivering an incredible driving experience with its robust engine and advanced performance features.

The 2019 BMW M2 Competition will be released in the summer of 2018. BMW will announce its pricing closer to the launch date.

How fast can the 2019 BMW M2 go?

The 2019 BMW M2 Competition is very fast, with a top speed of 174 mph. It accelerates quickly as well, with a zero – 60 mph time of only 4.0 seconds. This impressive speed and acceleration can be credited to the M2 Competition’s cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine, which churns out an impressive output of 405 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. With the all-new electromechanical power steering, Dynamic Steering Control system, and Active M Differential, the M2 Competition boasts precise steering and excellent handling around curves and corners.

BMW Personal CoPilot in BMW M2 Competition

The BMW M2 Competition provides a high level of safety, especially with its BMW Personal CoPilot suite of driver assistance technologies. Features of BMW Personal CoPilot include Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Navigation Professional, Park Distance Control, Pedestrian Warning with City Braking, and Speed Limit Info.

Dual Exhaust System of BMW M2 Competition

Providing the rumbling soundtrack to your journeys is the all-new dual exhaust system. Along with its four chrome tailpipes, it features electrically-controlled flaps that can be adjusted via the M Dynamic Performance Control in the center console, helping to create the engine notes that reflect the M2 Competition’s phenomenal performance.
