BMW X5
Although the three-row BMW X5 won’t offer quite as much space with all of its seats upright, it still remains the stronger choice for the driver who wants to maximize their capacities. However, the compact X3 is certainly capable and versatile in its own right.
The BMW X3 comes standard with a 2.0-liter Inline 4-Cylinder engine, offering 248 hp. For 2020, this compact SUV gets an EPA-estimated 23 mpg city, 30 mpg highway. The larger BMW X5 gets a 3.0L Turbocharged Inline 6-cylinder engine, standard. It gets 335 hp, and although official 2020 fuel economy numbers are not yet known for this model, the 2019 X5 got 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Considering an upgrade? With the X3, you’ll have the option to equip a 3.0L Turbocharged Inline 6-cylinder engine with 382 hp. The X5 offers two additional options: a 4.4-liter Twin-Turbocharged V8 with 456 hp, or a 4.4-liter Twin-Turbocharged V8 with 523 hp! You’ll also need to consider the new BMW X5 PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle), which has just been released for 2020.
