BMW i3 Autonomous Driving Test Vehicle at Dialog im Dunkeln Museum in Germany

Autonomous driving technology has rapidly advanced in recent years, and BMW has been at the forefront of this field. One of the benefits of autonomous driving is that it will provide increased mobility for people who are not able to drive a car, such as the elderly and visually impaired individuals. At the “Dialog im Dunkeln” (Dialogue in the Dark) museum in Hamburg, Germany, BMW set up a unique exhibition in which visitors could ride in a BMW i3 in total darkness to simulate what it might be like for a visually impaired person to ride in an autonomous vehicle.
