Child S.H.A.R.E.\

Established in 1985, Child S.H.A.R.E. grew from the vision of Dr. Mary Rotzien, a woman whose strong commitment to her faith led her to develop a program to address the lack of stable, loving housing for abused and neglected children. With the financial support and encouragement of Westwood Presbyterian Church, Dr. Rotzien began to find temporary homes in the faith community for children languishing in the foster care system.

Dr. Rotzien's unique approach to the challenges faced by foster families gave life to Child S.H.A.R.E. Today, Dr. Rotzien's vision continues to grow as Child S.H.A.R.E. partners with families, individuals and volunteers, primarily from local faith communities, to recruit, train and support foster families.

To date, Child S.H.A.R.E. has successfully recruited over 900 families to provide foster homes, providing stability to over 2,800 children. Child S.H.A.R.E. families adopt children placed with them at over twice the national adoption rate and Child S.H.A.R.E. families are consistently honored, featured and recognized throughout the country as models of healthy foster parenting.

Ascencia
Ascencia's mission is to end homelessness in the Greater Glendale Area, one person, one family, at a time.

Incorporated as PATH Achieve Glendale in 2006, the organization assumed management of an existing agency known as Project ACHIEVE which, for the previous 10 years had built a solid reputation as the only social service agency in Glendale dedicated solely to serving homeless families and individuals.

In September of 2011, PATH Achieve Glendale officially announced it's new name and transition into Ascencia. Though no longer affiliated with PATH Partners, Ascencia continues to provide the same level of care and service to our homeless men, women and children in ending homelessness one person, one family, at a time.
